The Farm Eatery
The Farm Eatery is a modern, casual dining destination and purpose-built cooking school located at Maggie Beer’s iconic Pheasant Farm in Nuriootpa, Barossa Valley. Led by Elli Beer, the youngest daughter of Maggie and Colin Beer, The Farm Eatery celebrates the best of South Australian produce through seasonal menus, relaxed hospitality, and immersive food experiences.
The Eatery’s menu is a reflection of the region, showcasing ingredients sourced from The Pheasant Farm and surrounding Barossa producers. Guests are invited to enjoy set menus that change with the seasons—highlighting simplicity, flavour, and the quality of local ingredients. Executive Chef Tim Bourke, formerly of the acclaimed Southern Ocean Lodge, brings a refined yet approachable touch to every dish.
Beyond dining, The Farm Eatery offers a hands-on Cooking School experience. Guests can take part in small-group cooking classes in a purpose-built kitchen, followed by a shared long-table lunch and wine or gin tastings featuring Maggie Beer’s own range. It’s an ideal way to learn, cook, and connect with the land and its produce.
With its thoughtful design, lakeside setting, and strong connection to the Beer family’s food legacy, The Farm Eatery offers a unique opportunity to experience the true flavour of the Barossa—where food, people, and place come together with purpose and pride.
