Barossa Distilling Co is an award-winning Australian distillery located in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Founded in 2016, the distillery is dedicated to crafting exceptional spirits that celebrate flavour, craftsmanship, and a spirit of discovery.
What began as a small craft gin operation has grown into a dynamic distillery producing gin, vodka, brandy, whisky, and handcrafted cocktails—all inspired by the unique botanicals and bold character of the Barossa region.
In 2017, Barossa Distilling Co opened The Distillery—a Distillery Door Tasting Room & Cocktail Bar—set within the historic Old Penfolds Distillery at Provenance Barossa in Nuriootpa. Once home to some of Australia’s earliest commercial stills, the site now offers an immersive space to explore the full range of Barossa Distilling Co spirits.
Visitors can enjoy guided tasting paddle experiences, gaining insights into the flavour profiles of the spirits and the impact of garnishes and mixers. A curated cocktail menu showcases the distillery’s craftsmanship, while local Barossa wines and beers are also available. Drinks can be enjoyed in the inviting historic bar or outside in the botanical garden seating area. From Friday to Sunday, food is available from neighbouring Ember Pizza, adding to the relaxed, regional experience.
