SA’s Leading EatDrink Local venues announced

The South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards have long celebrated excellence in South Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing sector. For over 25 years, these awards have recognised achievements across the industry, from primary production and food and beverage producers to industry service providers.

Food South Australia are excited to announce the winners of the 2025 EatDrink Local SA Award category, sponsored by MBL. This category shines a spotlight on South Australian foodservice businesses and hospitality venues that actively support and showcase locally produced food and beverages.

MBL, a trusted partner in the food and beverage industry with deep roots in South Australia, is proud to sponsor this award. MBL offers a wide range of quality packaging, products, ingredients, and equipment, with a focus on sustainable solutions. Their commitment to local initiatives and sustainable practices aligns perfectly with the ethos of the EatDrink Local SA program which has encouraged consumers for over a decade to support venues that highlight local produce. By sponsoring this award, MBL continues to champion local businesses and sustainable practices, reinforcing their dedication to the South Australian food and beverage sector.

The judges votes are in and the following EatDrink Local SA participating venues have been announced as winners:

  • Metro Winner: Raven Mead Hospitality - My Kingdom for a Horse & A Prayer for the Wild at Heart, Adelaide

Raven Mead Hospitality is the parent company behind Adelaide restaurant favourites My Kingdom for a Horse and A Prayer for the Wild at Heart. Both venues are committed to showcasing South Australian producers, sourcing seasonal ingredients directly from local growers, and roasting award-winning coffee in-house. With a dedicated team of full-time, part-time, and apprentice staff, Raven Mead Hospitality combines innovation, sustainability, and community engagement to deliver exceptional dining experiences and continue growing Adelaide’s vibrant food scene.

  • Regional Winner: That’s Enrico, Lobethal

That’s Enrico, located in Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills, is a small, intimate Italian eatery built around the principles of slow food, zero waste, and local sustainability. Founder Enrico combines traditional Italian techniques with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, creating a new menu every three months featuring just seven handcrafted pizzas, fresh pasta, and naturally fermented breads. Every dish reflects care, simplicity, and respect for the land and local producers, complemented by organic and biodynamic wines and locally made beverages. With a dedicated team and only 20 seats, That’s Enrico is more than a restaurant—it’s a celebration of honest food, community, and mindful, sustainable living.

Entrants were asked a series of questions on sourcing of local ingredients and supporting local producers, as well as their sustainability practices, which judges reviewed and scored accordingly.
